Well, what a pleasant surprise.
A classic British pub at Queen at the 410, tucked away in a small strip plaza close to Red Lobster.
We've passed this place dozens of times. I mean dozens. It's rough exterior has always thrown us off, but we got bold one night and decided to give it a try. Thank goodness we did. It might be dark and gloomy from the outside, but it's a bright, clean pub on the inside.
After walking through the place marveling at how wrong we were to pass this place for so long, we took a seat and flipped through the menu. Classic Firkin-style menu with all the fixings.
We got a bunch of shareables; Calamari, Wings and Sweet Potato Fries. We can't wait to go back when we're more hungry. Wings were ok, calamari and sweet potato fries were great. Drinks were nice and cold, service was stellar.
It was a quiet place for a Friday night, but it could have been weather related. This place's only downside is that you just don't feel safe entering or exiting.
Needs to be better lit for sure.
