Plato's Closet is a store located at Kennedy and Orenda which does buy and sell for ladies and menswear. A great place to take unwanted clothes and find some good buys!
This store has great offerings, but don't count on selling too much of what you bring in. They are very picky with what they take and for good reason, the store is busting at the seams with clothes, shoes and accessories.
You may bring in 200 items and only sell them one, and that one item might only be worth $5. So don't expect to bring in all your belongings and walk out with hundreds of dollars in your pocket. Unless your closet is filled with all designer-wear that you've purchased within the last year or so, it's highly unlikely.
Great finds included a pair of Under Armour shorts (with tags on) for $16, a pair of casual shorts for $5 and a cute romper for $8. Never would I spend less than $30 on three items like that in a mall.
Since most of their items stocked are lightly worn, this store is ranked high on our 'good finds' list. Why bother buying new items for triple the price when you can get the same thing only lightly used for far less. Also, it's a great way to keep clothes out of landfills. Shopping here can be your way of saving the environment.
